Excellent food, cook in lounge, very friendly, cleanliness, excellent massage service. Very good location of the hotel as well as its value for money.
I didn't like it, that when you go 6 nights and 7 days with a family, the inestimable deficiencies in 2 or 3 day accommodations start to appear. We didn't like that besides sharing the hotel sign, with the company "Passeios por Ria Formosa" , and space in the hotel reception, they don't share anything else. We bought the tickets for the walk in this company for 30 euros, when you can buy them for 10 euros in any nearby town, Tavira, Olhao..., for the confidence of hiring. We had a mishap, the boat couldn't continue and we were literally left stranded at Farol. After half an hour of negotiation when we had paid for 4 hours. The hotel gave up on us completely. We put claim in writing, to the company of Paseo and we asked to speak with the director, to explain him everything that happened, that never appeared, to the maximum that we arrived it was to his assistant, that the same thing accommodated you in the dinner, that served you a wine in the evening... as for stories and claims. Although he was always kind and polite. I think that the claim of 60 euros, after 6 nights in a hotel, would have been compensated in any way to prevent us from leaving the hotel with a bad taste in our mouths. And to be able to leave having forgotten everything, and wanting to come back soon.

The rooms were nicely decorated with a view, you feel like home. The location was exceptionally nice and really handy, for example, Forte do Rato was just a short walk away from the hotel.

Private ferry to beach, fine natural surroundings, engaging kids programs
Single glassed windows are not appropriate!!! Rooms lack adequate sound insulation. Buffet food was often lukewarm, and the air conditioning underperformed, leaving us uncomfortable!!!

Beautiful place, view of the reserve. Once they caught a dinner with an abundance of seafood, there were even oysters, lot of food, quality is average. Comfortable hotel... wonderful receptionist booked us a table at a restaurant we couldn't get to... beach towels could be changed every day. Room cleaning was regular, maids managed to do it very discreetly and adjusted to the time... Excellent internet throughout the hotel.
There are ants in the room. Raw and humid... Not all staff speaks English. It was often a problem... Almost always the sunbeds are busy, lot of people in the hotel by the pool... We didn't really like the local wine... first time we bought a ticket for a boat that transports to the next beach, asked for 10 trips, girl did not understand and gave one. Finally, next morning we ran to get a new one in time for departure... You can reach the centre of Tavira either by taxi or on foot (over 3 km).

Staying here was a delight, particularly enjoying the extraordinary food, especially the fresh crepes and omelet station at breakfast that really stood out. The beautiful garden and well-maintained pools made for a serene environment. The location was a bit isolated, which could be inconvenient for those wanting quick access to the town. The noise from other guests occasionally interrupted the otherwise tranquil atmosphere. It's worth mentioning that the kids' club could offer more activities to engage the little ones better.

For me and my wife, this is one of the best hotels in the world. We have known and loved Tavira and its surroundings for 25 years. Being able to stay right in Natural Park of Ria Formosa and in a place like this hotel, which was an old Tuna Fishers "town" and has been restored magnificently is something really amazing and a real pleasure. Also, staying in May, with very reasonable prices and very few people in the hotel was superb.

In a beautiful area, Tavira is a great area to be based in, close to Sapin too.

The atmosphere in early season was homely and the added Carnival entertaining. Very comfortable and always worth a return visit.

The ants nests in the room, the staff sprayed those they could see but it was ineffective, they need to destroy the nests. Offensive smells from the sewage tanks which were too close to our and nearby rooms.

Was in Europe for 10 days. Visited the Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain. By far the best hotel we stayed in. Beautiful views and resources. Very friendly staff. So nice that we stayed an additional day to visit the beach as opposed to getting up and moving on to Faro.
